Sunflower has long been famous not only for its seeds, which are used for the production of vegetable oil, as well as products left after processing plants. Cake, meal, husk are of no less value, they are used in the daily diet of animals as a valuable high-protein supplement to compound feed, other concentrated feeds or in pure form.
Sunflower cake GOST 80-96 is obtained as a result of oil extraction from the remains of the kernels of the culture. It is an important component in the production of compound feeds. Unlike cereals, granulated sunflower cake is much more nutritious. It contains a high percentage of protein (36-38%). As well as water, the proportion of which should not exceed 8.5%, and fats (7-10%). Sunflower oil, which remains in large quantities in the cake, is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E and phospholipids.
Sunflower cake, when added to the nutrition programs of farm animals, has a positive effect on the state of the body of livestock:
-stimulates the growth of young animals
-improves metabolism
-increases the egg production of poultry
-strengthens the immune system
Granulated sunflower cake can be used in feeding cows, pigs, horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits. Before feeding the animals, the compound feed is diluted with water for better assimilation. The room where the granulated sunflower cake is stored should be well ventilated, excessive humidity or parasites should not form in the feed. The pellets should not be exposed to direct sunlight, they should not be placed near a heat source.
