It is milky white or pale yellow powder, slice or particle. Its freezing point is 50-52; soluble in water,50 mineral oil and ethyl acetae ; insoluble in cold water. It decentralizes in warm water, and it is anti-acid and heat resisting . The HLB value is 4.7.
Usage:
Firstly it should be dispersed and dissolved in warm water, then mixed with other materials. It is usually used with emulsifiers like sucrose ester, tripolyglycerol monostearate and so on.
Application:
It is used as emulsifier and dispersing agent, and employed in the production of milky candy, ice cream, bread, cake, chocolates, and coffee. It is also applied in the cosmetics , medicine , pesticides, coating and plastic industry.
