Pomegranates  are very cultivated in the south of Tunisia (coastal oasis). You can find it in the western oasis, in the Kairouan area and in some orchards in the north (Zaghouan, Bizerte).

In Gabes ( south of Tunisia ), the pomegranate production has exceeded 33000 tons in  2017. They grow these pomegranates in the shade of the date palms of its serene coastal oasis.

Tunisian pomegranates contain softer seeds than most pomegranates and more juice, their edibility rate can reach peaks up to 90%. Moreover, their size is large sizes and their peel is thin.
