Organic Wheat grain (or wheat berries ) is a versatile whole grain, commonly used in homes for milling or cooking. With a sweet, nutty taste and a delightful chewy texture it is a winner freshly milled to make bread or otherwise used as a side accompaniment.
The outer bran covering contains three major B vitamins, trace minerals and dietary fibre. The endosperm, however, takes up most of the room and contains protein, carbohydrates, iron, riboflavin and thiamine. The germ (or wheat plant embryo) also contains a small portion of B vitamins and trace minerals as well.
