Product Introduction
Amygdalin, also known as Vitamin B17 or laetrile, is a substance found naturally in the seeds of many kinds of fruits, such as plums, cherries, oranges, nectarines, apples and peaches, particularly in the apricot pits and bitter almonds. These are all highly nutritious foods with chemical contents that provide an excellent range of important benefits for the human body. As a result, many people have begun to call amygdalin ‘vitamin B17’.Amygdalin was first discovered and isolated by two French chemists in the early 1800s.Preclinical studies by the U.S. government's National Institutes of Health using laetrile alone and in combination with other substances showed little evidence that it is effective against cancer.
