Both KUROLITE and KUROLITE 2300 contain azodicarbonamide. Azodicarbonamide is a "maturing agent" which is activated when flour is made into a dough. These products are typically added to wheat flour at the mill during the milling process. The addition rate varies but cannot exceed 45.0 ppm in the U.S.A.
KUROLITE contains 10% azodicarbonamide. When mixed with flour at a dosage of 1.0 gram per hundred weight it adds 2.2 ppm.
KUROLITE 2300 contains 23% azodicarbonamide. When mixed with flour at a dosage of 1.0 gram per cwt adds 5 ppm.
