Citrus and tropical fruit aroma lead to a crisp, fresh in the palate.
Herdade dos Templarios white premium wine 75cl
Winemaker tasting notes:
Citrus and tropical fruit aroma lead to a crisp, fresh palate with mouth-filling flavors of apple, melon, tangerine and passion fruit; lively lingering aftertaste.
Grapes Varieties: Arinto 30%, Fernao Pires 30%, Riesling 20% and Sauvignon Blanc 20%
Arinto: Is a very versatile grape variety and, for this reason, it is grown in almost every wine region. In the Vinhos Verdes region it is known as Pedernã. This grape variety is usually used in the production of blend (more than one grape variety) and sparkling wines.
Fernao Pires: Is one of the most planted white grape varieties in Portugal. It is grown in the centre and south areas. Fernao Pires is very early-ripening, which makes it one of the first Portuguese grape varieties to be harvested. Besides, as it is very sensitive to frost, it develops better in fertile soils of temperate or hot climate. This grape variety has good alcohol content and low or medium acidity, which makes the wines produced from or blended with Fernao Pires have intense floral aromas.
Riesling: is a light-skinned, aromatic grape which is - if the majority of top wine critics are to be believed - the world's finest white Wine grape variety.
Sauvignon Blanc: Is a white-wine grape from western France, now successfully grown in emerging and established wine regions all over the world like in our region. Aromas range from grass, nettles, blackcurrant leaf and Asparagus to green apples and gooseberries.
