Lambent offers a variety of different esters, ethoxylates and vegetable oils that are marketed into the liquid colorant market. The polysorbates and sorbitan esters are workhorse pigment dispersants used to make both inorganic and organic pigment formulations. These products are plant derived and conform to 21 CFR 178.3400. Lambent is a leading supplier of canola oil for industrial applications. These products are refined, bleached and deodorized and are generally recognized as safe food food contact purposes. Vegetable oils are used as mineral oil substitutes and canola oil is a good replacement for soybean oil when improved oxidative stability is desired. Lambent markets these products under the OLEOCAL brand name.
Lambent manufactures high quality polyethylene glycols (PEGs) that are excellent, inexpensive pigment dispersants typically used in specialized liquid colorant applications such as PET for food and beverage packaging. Most PEGs are suitable for use in indirect food contact applications described in 21 CFR 175.105 and 21 CFR 178.3750. Lambent markets these products under the LUMULSE brand name.
