Description:
Medium intense cherry red colour. The nose is reminiscent of red currant, red Cherries with a hint of strawberries and spices. This medium bodied wine is well supported by soft ripe tannins and intense berry flavours resulting in a lengthy aftertaste.

Sugar at harvest: Pinotage 25ºB, Shiraz 24ºB
Fermentation: The Pinotage had 3 days of cold soak at 10ºC before inoculation and then fermented for a further 4 days on skins, at 30ºC before pressing. The Shiraz was directly inoculated with yeast and fermented for 7 days at 30ºC and macerated for a further 5 days before being pressed.
Maturation: After malolactic fermentation in tanks, both Shiraz and Pinotage matured for a further 5 months in tank before blending. No wooding. After fining and a light filtration the wine was bottled.
