Description:
Rye flour T-1250 is a milling product, produced by milling cleaned and prepared rye (Secale cereale). The nutritional value of the flour depends on the ash content: higher ash content - greater nutritional value.Rye flour type T-1250 is highly nutritious product with high percentage of calcium and iron. Consistency of the product is free, liquid, granular and free of lumps.
Purpose of use:
The most common use of rye flour is to make bread. It gives the bread a full flavour and freshness. The endosperm of rye grains contains carbohydrates and high-quality protein. The germ and the area under the seed coat contain up to 2% of fats, various minerals and vitamins, especially B vitamins. Rye flour is rich in fibre, which helps to prevent colon cancer. It has a darker colour and a characteristic taste and its use is traditional in the north-eastern regions of Slovenia. Rye wheat is most often used to prepare rye bread and gingerbread biscuits. Rye bread looks more compact and has a slightly smaller volume. One of its good features is that it stays fresh for a long time. Rye flour products are recommended for patients with diabetes. The product is used for food purposes. Heat treatment is needed.
