Introduction
Scopolamine is an alkaloid which is present in the Solanaceae plant and has the molecular formula C17H21NO4. It has an excitatory effect on the respiratory center but has obvious inhibitory effects on the cerebral cortex. In addition, it also has the functions of dilating capillaries, improving microcirculation, and resisting seasickness and motion sickness. It is used as a sedative before general anesthesia.
