As the name suggests tropical almond or Indian almond is a tree which grows in tropical Asia, Africa, and Australia. The taste, size, and shape are also very similar to almond. Leaves of tropical almond are useful in many ways. Several flavonoids, tannins, saponines and phytosterols present in the leaves which have anti-oxidant and anti-clastogenic as well as cancer-preventing properties.
