Properties:

A yellow, viscous, naturally occurring fat soluble Vitamin, found in leafy greenvegetables, used by the body to form prothrombin. (A plasma protein that is essential to blood clotting).

Stability:

Vitamin K1 is slowly degraded by atmospheric oxygen, but is fairly rapidly degraded by light. It is relatively stable to heat, but is decomposed by alkalis.
