A vibrant but lighter style white Wine with a
delicious palate of melon, stonefruit, passionfruit
and gooseberry flavours.
The Awa Awa Story
Awa Awa means ‘river gorge’ in Maori. When Maori arrived in New Zealand they settled in the river valleys and along the coast where food was plentiful. Today, many of these areas have given way to vineyards, producing outstanding premium New Zealand wine.
Winemaking
Sauvignon Blanc Grapes were selected for their intensity of fruit flavours. They were fermented cool and bottled early to capture their fresh varietal characters.
The warm, dry 2013 growing season produced near perfect conditions for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with clean, ripe fruit with beautiful varietal characters.
Tasting Notes
A vibrant but lighter style white wine with a delicious palate of melon, stonefruit, passionfruit and gooseberry flavours. Fresh limey acidity gives a clean, crisp finish.
This refreshing Sauvignon Blanc is an ideal match with seafood, fresh salads and vegetarian dishes. Best enjoyed within three to five years of vintage date.
