Description of red radish color:
Radish red is a natural red pigment extracted from Radish root. Radish red is easily soluble in water and ethanol water liquor, but not soluble in acetone or oil. Red Radish is extracted from the roots of the edible Red Radish of the Cruciferae family. The pigment of radish red mainly consists of two anthocyanins, which belongs to glucose derivatives of Pelargonidin.
Characteristics of red radish color:
Radish red is stable, heat resistant, light resistant,high coloring capacity. brighter tinct under acid condition, no deposit in solution. Radish red is red with a little purple hue in water when pH is below and the absorbance peak is 520nm. The color changes from red to purple and to unstable blue when pH rises from 6 to 12. Good dyeing ability to starch and protein in acid solution.
Application of red radish color:
Add desired pigment to some water or ethanol solution and stir to get an equal red solution. Heat when hard to dissolve. For best result, stir under 80ºC.
