Pinot Grigio Terre Siciliane IGT TRICHE' - GIUSEPPE VERDI SELECTION
100% Pinot Grigio
What makes the southern Italian island of Sicily the perfect place to grow grapes is its warm and inviting Mediterranean climate, unique soils and centuries of winemaking history. The symbol on the label is the Trinacria, the emblem of Sicily. It shows the head of Medusa and three legs, which represent the three corners, Peloro, Passero, and Lilibeo, of the triangular island. Three ears of wheat represent its fertile soil.

Light bodied and easy drinking, this Pinot Grigio matures only in stainless steel, to maintain the exotic flavours and rich aromas that are typical of grapes grown in this sunny region. Region: Sicily Italy
Vinification The results of a selection of Pinot Grigio grapes grown in picturesque vineyards located on the sunny island of Sicily. The distinctive fragrance of exotic fruits develops in powerful and rich aromas thanks to the special Mediterranean climate and the unique soil of Southern Italy.
The grapes are softly pressed to preserve the fragrance and freshness.
Fermentation: At a controlled temperature of 14°c for 15 days. Maturation in stainless steel tanks for two months.
Alcohol Content: 12%
Tasting notes: Golden yellow with greenish reflections. IN the mouth is fresh and rich fruity aromas of apple and pear with a hint of citrus fruit that fade into the floral bouquet. The flavor is fresh and fruity, very clean and crisp. Closure: Diam or screw-cap Serving temperature: 8/10°C Food Pairing: Ideal to accompany chicken, fish and also as an aperitif.

There are 103,063 hectares (255,000 acres) under vine, producing 6.2 million hectoliters of wine per year. There is one DOCG and 23 DOCs.
