Cold Application:

1.Store pack in freezer so that it is always ready to use cold for an injury.Please

refrigerate gel for at least 2 hours prior to use.

2.Apply towel or elastic wrap between skin and cold pack to prevent frostbite.Do 

not use directly on skin from freezer.

3.Leave cold pack on for 15-20 minutes and repeat every 1-1½ hours as needed.

Consult a physician for extended use.

4.If cold becomes uncomfortable,apply additional insulation between the skin and 

cold pack .

Heat Application:

1.Flatten pack and place in a microwave safe container and cover with water.

2.If pack is at room temperature,heat on high for 1 minute and let stand for 1

minute.

3.Check temperature and if more heat is required,repeat as above until required

temperature is reached.

4.If pack is frozen,heat for 75 seconds and let stand for 75 seconds.Further exposure

should be for 10 second increments,with equal standing time until correct temperature 

is reached 

5.Remove from water,cover pack with towel and apply to injured area.

6.If heat becomes uncomfortable,apply additional insulation between the skin and 

hot pack.
