Grillo DOC Grotta Scurati Cantine Burgò Giuseppe Verdi Selection
Produced starting from a careful selection of of grillo grapes, the “Grotta Scurati” takes the name from the homonymous cave located in the wonderful medieval village of Custonaci, pictured carved in its label surrounded by gold which represents the sun. The fermentation is only carried out in temperature-controlled steel containers, this Sicilia DOC is one of the youngest but most important wines of the whole firm’s range.

TASTE Yellow straw-color wine, the nose presents floral scents together with fruity and herbaceous feelings. It has the right sapidity and a perky acid component on the palate, that makes it extremely drinkable.
MATCH It’s suitable to seafood, pasta dishes with vegetables, white meats and baked fish. The richness and aromatic fragrance of “Grillo” make it the perfect wine to combine with a dish such as carpaccio ofveal with celery and strawberries.

Around the renowned archaeological site of Segesta, take place the land properties cultivated aiming both on the native vines, such as “Nero d’Avola”, and on the experimentation of different international varieties. From these unspoilt landscapes are born the wines of the Cantine Burgò, distinguished by strong Mediterranean roots and by the continuous research for an ever higher quality.
In these places grow privileged wines, produced homemade with a refined and wise competence, using tools of the most advanced technology, respecting the most ancient art of grape cultivation and winemaking process.
